Sam loves food. Much of his life seems to revolve around planning and anticipating his next meal. One afternoon, he began a familiar refrain. “Go Chili’s for dinner,” he said. “Not today,” I replied. “Mom has steaks in the refrigerator.” Sam disappeared and I could hear him rummaging around in the kitchen. I hurried downstairs, but I was too late to save the steaks, which were now in the trash. “Sam, what did you do?” I asked. Unperturbed by my irritated state, he calmly said, “Steak in trash. Go Chili’s.”  IT’S THE “NOT KNOWING” THAT GETS YOU!
